Clearance: The majority of positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhancescomplex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensiveanalytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremelylargedatasets,real-time systems, and business managementinformation systems) based upon documented requirements. Worksindividually or aspartof ateam.Reviews and tests softwarecomponents for adherence to the design requirements and documentstest results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes softwaredevelopment and software design methodologies appropriate to thedevelopment environment. Provides specific input to the softwarecomponents of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf(COTS)/Govemment Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of newdevelopment, and requirements analysis and synthesis from systemlevel to individual software components
Required Skills:
- Strong Java skills and experience.
- High level of coding experience, Full Life Cycle, designing, maintaining.
- Solid understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM, Agile methodologies, JIRA, GIT, Confluence and the Atlassian Tool Suite).
- Work experience with Cloud: Distributed Scalable Big Data Store such as CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table; MapReduce
-Work experience with technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS; Serialization such as JSON or BSON
Highly Desired Skills:
- GHOSTMACHINE, TQA experience or Cloud development and operational environments.
- MapReduce and Pig experience.
- Ability to debug software and correct defects
Qualifications: Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, andcomplexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accreditedcollege or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similarsoftware processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
